The Department of Revenue continues its efforts to refine security by further protecting taxpayer record. Likewise, we had added another security level within My Tax Account. That’s right! Beginning July 8th, the 1st time an user logs to My Tax Account, a department issued security code must be entered. Have you heard of something like this before? The user could be prompted electronically to provide an email address and/or cell phone number for code delivery. DOR will send the security code immediately via email or text for entry to My Tax Account.

2 step authentication is a security method used routinely by banks and bank card entrepreneurs. We continue to stabilize and improve the security features to keep your confidential data safe, as technology continues to develop and advance.
